Analytics and Data Associate

About the Opportunity

Assist the Manager, Business Intelligence, in analyzing financial position and results of operations, including, but not limited to:

• Reviewing and approving client-prepared allowances
• Analyzing account profitability
• Preparing pricing exhibits
• Completing cost change documents for clients
• Recommending new and improved reports and analytics to enhance performance measurement
• Assisting Sales Department with pricing constructs

Assist IT Administrator in maintaining Microsoft Dynamics NAV, our ERP, capturing all facets of sourcing and distributing product, including but not limited to:

• New user set-up and user maintenance
• Assisting with the completion of fiscal period end and new period set-up procedures
• Developing and documenting policies and procedures related to the implementation of NAV
• Testing new models, protocols and procedures in NAV
• Developing and maintaining user report formats in both NAV and JET Reports
• Developing, documenting, and implementing training for new and/or improved processes in NAV

Assist IT Administrator with company-wide IT availability and functionality, including, but not limited to:

• Serving internal clients in offices in Canada and China
• Trouble-shooting IT issues and managing them to resolution with internal customers and external IT service providers
• Ensuring data back-ups proceed as scheduled, including regular testing of procedures and media
• Supporting implementation of new business systems and tools

General responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Supporting general office administration functions
• Ad hoc reporting and projects as assigned

About You  

• Legally able to work in Canada
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications, and expertise with Excel
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 or comparable ERP
• Excellent analytical skills, including spreadsheet preparation and analysis
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
• Strong investigative and reconciliation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Professional, positive, self-motivated, and energetic demeanor
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply sound judgment
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
• Focused on meeting timelines and deliverables
• Ability to work successfully in both a team environment and independently
• Diploma/certificate from a post-secondary institution in accounting / IT / business
• Minimum 3 years Canadian work experience
• Experience in the import/distribution industry is an asset

Salary Range
$40,000 - $45,000/year
