Accounts Payable Supervisor

About the Opportunity  

  • Responsible for using professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to develop and maintain internal accounting processes and procedures, with a focus in Accounts Payable
  • Act as the team lead to supervise the Accounting Clerks and Purchase Order Clerks while performing monthly property analysis
  • Support the Assistant Controller with various accounting related tasks
  • Maintain goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for customers, people and communities

About You  

  • Passion for accounting and uncanny ability to apply accounting theory, principals and techniques
  • Possession of strong leadership and ability to utilize your supervisory skills for good team management
  • In-depth knowledge in accounts payable practices
  • Excellent critical thinking, as well as analytical skills
  • Residential real estate and/or commercial and retail property management knowledge an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting software (i.e. Simply, Accpac, QuickBooks, Yardi, etc.)
  • Degree in accounting or related field with at least four years’ experience in a similar role, or 10+ years direct experience in a similar role
  • Accounting designation an asset
  • Highly organized
  • Proficient at analyzing and auditing data to detect and correct errors
  • Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
  • Motivated by pressure and deadlines

Salary Range
$60,000 - $70,000/year
