Accounts Payable Clerk - 3-6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Enter supplier invoices into the Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting system (including coding of invoices)
• Input journal entries into Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting system to reallocate coding of invoices (ad hoc basis)
• Review expense reports to determine GST/HST claimable amounts
• Generate cheque runs and circulate cheques for signatures
• Mailing of approved cheques to suppliers
• Maintaining checklist to ensure certain monthly payments are made in a timely manner (including payments to the government and joint venture partners)
• Filing of paid invoices into accounts payable files
• Reconciliation of Accounts Payable sub ledgers to General Ledger
• First point of contact for supplier calls
• Deposit cheque and other cash receipts at the bank
• Filing of other Microsoft Great Plains system reports
• Assistance with reception duties when necessary

About You

• Knowledge of general accounting and accounts payable
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting software an asset
• Above average PC skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Working knowledge of Canadian sales tax

Pay Range
$18-$20/hour
