Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the Opportunity

  • Accounts payable entry, processing day-to-day transactions, maintaining accounts payable records, invoicing and vendor payments
  • All aspects of payment issuance: foreign exchange, wire transfers, fund transfers, banking
  • Prepare monthly Government remittances, filings and statements: GST/HST, WSIB, EHT, Duty Drawback and Corporate Tax
  • Month-end reconciliation: bank statement, credit card statement and employee expenses
  • Preparing weekly vendor payments via wire transfer, ACH or cheque
  • Daily entry of EFT deposits and cheque payments into Axapta
  • Bank deposit
  • Account reconciliations: generate customer statements, send copies of all invoices and collection of all past due accounts
  • Resolve discrepancies and unknown deductions
  • Enter payroll through Ceridian and book payroll through Axapta; distribute paystubs to all staff; verify temporary worker’s timesheets weekly and enter hours online
  • Set up and maintenance of employee profiles: documentation of vacation/sick days/personal days, new hire contracts, terminations, and employee benefits; update RRSP program monthly
  • Prepare Annual T4s, terminations and ROEs and bonuses

About You  

  • Candidate must have atleast 5 years of full cycle AP, AR and some HR experience (asset)
  • Perfect written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using a large ERP system with strong Excel skills

Salary Range
$45,000 - $60,000/year
