About the Company

Our client who is a private mid-sized organization is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to help manage the financial reporting and internal control business processes. Our client is a dynamic organization who is always looking to acquire new businesses as their strategic growth strategy is very aggressive. As such they need a strong well rounded finance professional who can help their finance team grow in-turn with the business.

With any organization that has grown quickly there is now room for improvements within the business processes of this shared services accounting group. We are looking for a hands on Senior Accountant who has effectively participated within a team to implement change in a mid-sized organization's finance group. The Senior Accountant will have all the support they need to achieve the improvements they deem a priority. This role will have great professional development potential as you will be supervising 1 to 2 direct reports. 

About the Opportunity  

• Preparing monthly Financial Statements and  supporting schedules for several Operating businesses.
• Responsible for the General Ledger month-end tasks for several Operating units.
• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures for several  Operating units
• Maintains and balances Intercompany accounts by verifying, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Inter and cross company invoicing & monthly reconciliation
• Analyzes the variances between actual vs. budgets for Financial & Management Reports
• Presents monthly financials to operational management team in conjunction with the Senior Financial Analyst and controller
• Performs various detailed month-end allocations for shared costs and indirect cost allocations
• Manages various month-end accruals and performs all month-end account reconciliations
• Prepares monthly Bank Reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset Detail
• Oversee capital budget. Track spending, analyze and report on differences between budgeted spending and actual
• Participates in annual year end audit for several operational units (i.e. updates lead sheets, provide support before and during annual audits)
• Collaborates with Senior Financial Analyst in the budget cycle for several operational units and assists division heads with developing budgets
• Reviewing and improving internal controls
• Assists in the development of process improvements
• Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
• Ensure and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
• Oversees the accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
• Adaptable and flexible in performing other accounting related duties as assigned in order to accommodate changing business needs and work requirements

About You

• CPA designation
• Must have 2 years of consolidated reporting experience
• Experience with financial reporting for multiple companies
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

Salary Range
$75,000-$80,000/year
