Our client, a well-established real estate company, is looking for a Manager, Accounting to join their Property Accounting team. Responsible for managing a team of four Property Accountants, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for a portfolio of high quality commercial real estate properties located in major Canadian cities across multiple asset classes, as well as involvement in a variety of departmental projects.

About the Opportunity  

• Responsible for monthly financial statements, government reporting and remittances, annual property and tenant audited statements, co-owner reporting including detailed variance and projection analysis
• Manage team to ensure accurate and timely month and year-end general ledger close for portfolio of assigned properties
• Budgeting, cash flow management/forecasting, distributions to owners
• Coordinate/prepare year-end audit files and financial statements for external audit
• Working closely with Investment Team to assist with acquisition and disposition of properties, including review of purchase and sale agreements, statement of adjustments and other agreements
• Liaise with internal groups including tax, legal, treasury, corporate accounting, and leasing on property specific issues, as required

About You

• Accounting designation
• 2 years supervisory experience (3 or more employees)
• Property accounting/real estate experience preferred

Salary Range
$90,000-$105,000/year
