LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED ACCOUNTING MANAGER. Our client is hiring a CPA-designated professional to lead a special project on an 18-24 month contract.

About the Opportunity  

• Serve as the primary liaison with head office, and regional accounting and controlling colleagues
• Responsible for the compilation of project-related financial estimates for Canada
• Provide review support for controlling models and estimates for North America
• Manage day-to-day settlement processes, escalations and troubleshooting
• Guide, design, coordinate and implement the Canadian and North American programs
  • Main IT, logistics and external vendor contact
  • Act as the accounting subject matter expert in all relevant discussions
• Oversee affiliate chargeback process
• Manage external audit requirements
• Review and propose technical accounting
• Lead and continuously coach the accounting team to ensure seamless and successful program launches

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or Business and Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
• 10+ years relevant accounting/finance experience; automotive experience an asset
• 3+ years supervisory experience
• Well-developed leadership and interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge of functional accounting methods and application of IFRS
• Highly advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills; ability to document, articulate and convey functions and processes.
• Analytical skills – Ability to dissect complex accounting and financial processes and identify risks and process improvements.
• Works well under strict deadlines with a strong attention to detail
• SAP and Business Objects experience preferred
• Flexible for up to 10% travel to the USA and head office in Europe

Pay Range
$40/hour
