Accounting Coordinator - 6 Month Contract (opportunity to be permanent)

About the Opportunity

Accounts Payable

  • Processing vendor invoices and expense reports
  • Reconcile A/P General Ledger accounts, as well as vendor accounts to vendor statements
  • Schedule regular ongoing payments to suppliers (e.g. rent, insurance, garnishments, etc.)
  • Resolve supplier enquiries relating to invoices, upcoming payments, short payments, etc.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Continuity Schedule
  • Set up Vendor Master File and maintain the A/P sub-ledger
  • Reconcile and remit Retail Sales Tax

Accounts Receivable

  • Invoice customers in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with the Project Management Department and Studio Department Heads for billing purposes
  • Bill all part-time video customers and generate PTV report
  • Create Excel spreadsheets for customers and enter invoices into E-payment for customers
  • Maintain A/R sub-ledger and GL balance required for month-end closing
  • Maintain A/R historical aging report
  • Calculate billing on a monthly basis
  • Make daily bank deposits as required
  • Complete credit applications for suppliers

Financial Accounting

  • Balance Sheet account reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Recurring monthly general ledger entries – depreciation, amortization, income tax, etc.
  • Inventory
  • Fixed assets
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned

About You

  • Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills 
  • 3 years’ experience in an accounting administrative role
  • Thrive in an agile and collaborative environment 
  • Completed post-secondary education in an accounting / business related discipline

Pay Range
$18 - $21/hour
