Accounting Analyst - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

Accounting Analyst - 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformity to reporting and procedural standards
• Develop, maintain and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
• Develop, implement, modify and document record keeping and accounting systems
• Calculate taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements

About You

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial discipline required
• 3-5 years of financial and/or accounting experience in a banking or financial institution is a must
• Enrolment in an accounting designation
• Previous experience with forecasting and month-end closing
• Advanced communication skills – this position will be dealing with client groups/stakeholders in China and India – telephone communication is important
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – macros, pivot tables, v-look ups, if-statements
• Previous experience with Investran is an asset
• Previous merchant banking experience is an asset
• Proven ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses

Pay Range
$24-$28/hour
