Accountant - 5 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Reconcile and monitor account reconciliations. Investigate reconciling items and ask for adjusting entries as necessary
• Ensure related balance sheet account reconciliations are reviewed by Senior Accountant and file reconciliations into centralized local binder
• Monitor, analyze, and reconcile prepayments. Investigate reconciling items and ask for adjusting entries as necessary
• Perform general ledger analysis as required
• Provide support in all areas of the accounting
• Other duties as required by Management

About You

• University degree and at least 3 years of related job experience
• Recognized accounting designation is an asset
• Must understand basic accounting principles
• Strong MS Excel and SAP finance skills are required
• Must be deadline driven, results-oriented, highly responsible and accountable; excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy are essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be extremely proactive, have strong initiative and be self-motivated
• High integrity, ethics and strong values
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Innovative use of IT tools and new technology
• Food time management and priority setting skills required; must be adaptable and be flexible in a changing environment
• Identify and propose opportunities for improvement
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of business via phone, written and in-person communication

Pay Range
$19-$22/hour
