ARE YOU AN ACCOUNTING MANAGER SEEKING AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FOR A GLOBAL FIRM? Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager for a full-time roll.

Accounting Manager

The successful individual will primarily be responsible for maintaining proper books of accounts by ensuring that all transactions are booked accurately and on a timely basis, month end and quarter end reconciliations are done, and variances are researched and resolved.

About the Opportunity

  • Manage accounts payable function by ensuring that all payments to suppliers are correctly made on time and discounts availed
  • Ensure all expenses are coded and recorded correctly
  • Prepare month end and year end accruals
  • Ensure all Federal & Provisional tax payments are made on a timely manner
  • Ensure all invoices to customers are correctly generated and sent out on a timely basis
  • Ensure all collections are properly applied against accounts receivables
  • Supervise account payable, invoicing and inventory team
  • Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls
  • Maintain and update Internal control documentation
  • Recommend policy and procedure changes to increase efficiency within the department
  • Work closely with Financial Analyst and other departmental heads
  • Any other duties as assigned

About You  

  • 3-5 years accounting experience in an accounting department and managing a team of accountants
  • University degree in accounting and actively working towards an accounting designation
  • Working knowledge of Great Plains and Management Reporter is an asset
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, both verbally and written
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Possess a high degree of initiative, judgment and decision-making skills, and a great attitude and outlook in general

Salary Range
$60,000 - $65,000/year
